• Renewable energy, Q1: Energy use in buildings, geothermal systems, aquathermal energy, aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES), and energy distribution
• Heat storage, Q2: Aquifer, pit, and tank thermal energy storage systems
• Heating and cooling technologies from near-ambient temperature sources, Q3: Aquathermal energy, sensor installation, data acquisition, and data processing

• Developed and utilized a dynamic drilling simulator (PAYZONE) for training and research
• Five universities have utilized it, with up to 70 licenses functioning per day
